I am a California girl – born and raised. I am half Puerto Rican (Dad was born in Bayamon, Puerto Rico) and half Mexican (Mom was born in Jalisco, Mexico). I earned my bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 2008 and I am currently in graduate school.

Why the domain name “Another Maria”?
I chose the domain name “Another Maria” because Maria is such a common name. There are literally at least 5 Maria’s that I know of on my block alone and we joke about it a lot. The name is so common that family members call me by a nickname most of the time and a cousin even asked me what my REAL name was since he has always known me by my nickname. So there you have it, I am just one of the many… I’m just another Maria.

Why do you have a website?
It’s a hobby – that’s it. I have enjoyed making webpages since we first got connected to the internet, so it was only a matter of time for me to get my own spot on the web. This was my first self hosted blog site but now I also have other sites that I host as well.
